MCD5 & MWD5 thermostat diagnostic procedure
If the floor heating is not heating up then follow these steps in order
- Turn the thermostat to manual mode
- Change the temperature to 40 degrees
- Wait for 12 hours to see if the floor temperature is noticeably warmer.
- If it is not noticeably warmer after 12 hours there may be a schedule or other setting that is impacting the thermostats operation. We recommend resetting the thermostat back to its factory default settings.
- Perform a Factory Reset
- We suggest setting the thermostat into manual mode again and changing the temperature to 40 degree and waiting for 12 hours
- If the floor heating is still not warming up then please send Coldbuster the thermostats settings and information for further analysis.
- To easily obtain the thermostat information just scan the QR code using your mobile phone. To get the QR code
- Tap the Menu button on the home screen.
- Tap the User Settings button to access the various user settings.
- Scroll down and tap the Information Button.
- Tap the QR button and scan the QR Code with a suitable device with access to the internet.
- Send the results of the QR code via email to Coldbuster at support@coldbuster.com.au
Error messages:
If a fault or error occurs, the thermostat will display one of the following error messages
E0: Internal failure. The thermostat is defective. Contact Coldbuster. The thermostat must be replaced.
E1: Internal sensor defective or short circuited. Contact Coldbuster. The thermostat must be replaced.
E2: External wired floor sensor disconnected, defective or short-circuited. Contact Coldbuster for reconnection or replacement.
E5: Internal overheating. Contact Coldbuster in order to have the installation inspected.
If 3 circles containing dots are displayed on the screen then the child lock has been enabled. Refer to the user manual for how to unlock.
