TH-0108 Thermostat – “Lo” or blank LCD screen
TH-0108 Thermostat – “Lo” or blank LCD screen
If “Lo” is appearing
on the screen or the screen is blank, then you will need to change the batteries.
To
replace the batteries, you will need to remove the front face of the thermostat
from the base of the unit. To do this you will need to press this
button.
The cover plate has a hinge on the right side so suggest depressing the button on the left side of the unit as per photo. Use your fingers on the right side of the unit
& press your thumb on the “button”. The button is quite stiff so you will need to
depress firmly & then give it a tug at the same time as depressing the
button.
The
unit will then come away & the clips on the right-hand side which act as
the hinge will separate & the front section of the thermostat will be free
of the base which is still on the wall.
You
will now have easy access to the batteries. They
are AA size batteries.
- If
the screen is showing “Lo” on the screen & you are able to change the
batteries within about 10 seconds, it will hold its memory of the settings
(time, programming) that you have set.
- If the screen is dead & the batteries are
not corroded & on changing the batteries the screen jumps into life, you
will need to reset settings such as 5:2D or 7D and to set
the time & day.
- If
the screen is dead & the batteries have corroded, then there is a high likelihood that the thermostat will need to be
replaced. For details of replacement thermostats please go to the Coldbuster website => https://www.coldbuster.com.au/product-category/thermostats/.
An electrician will need to install the new thermostat however we strongly
recommend not opening the box of the new thermostat until your electrician has carried out a
continuity test & insulation test @ 500V to ensure that the heating is
in working order. Once you have confirmed that the underfloor heating is working correctly then the electrician can install the new thermostat. If
the thermostat is unopened & has not been used it can be sent back to us for a full refund.
